Advanced Microcomputer Hardware
 
Students learn the history of PC technology, component identification, troubleshooting, memory management, system upgrades and preventive maintenance. In a hands-on lab, students will learn assembly and disassembly of PCs and peripherals. Installation, diagnosis, and compatibility issues of hard disks, tape backup, and CD-ROM drives will be included, along with discussion of real-life scenarios.
This course may be taken individually or as part of the certificate in Microcomputer Technology.
Non-certificate students will be registered only after certificate students and depending upon available space.
