Basic Organizing Workshops

Leadership Training
A two-part workshop on how to build and maintain an effective neighborhood volunteer group. The curriculum covers starting a neighborhood organization; organizational structure; running effective meetings; increasing participation; fostering new leadership and outreach and publicity.
 
Grassroots Fundraising
Develop skills to sustain small to midsized projects with little or no paid staff or overhead. The curriculum includes conducting local fund-raising events; accessing small grant programs; and effective proposal writing.
 
Public Speaking
Develop the skills you need to communicate more clearly with your members and act as an effective spokesperson and advocate for your community.
 
The Internet for Community Activists
Find out what the Internet and the World Wide Web (WWW) are and how they work. See what resources exist on the "Net" to help your group network grow.
