Windows Client-Server Programming
This certificate program teaches students how to solve business problems using diverse applications with Microsoft Windows' tools. Students will be prepared to take advantage of the widespread business migration to Windows as a platform of choice, and the need for trained personnel.
Program Content
Baruch faculty and
consultants from the micro-computer industry have designed a
curriculum that emphasizes Windows Programming. The program
requires 288 hours of classroom and lab instruction. The
curriculum consists of the following courses:
Non-certificate students will be registered only after certificate students, depending upon space.
These courses, which are not the same as the courses listed under Computer section, may be taken individually for $500, except for Microsoft Access 97 and Introduction to Microsoft Excel 97, which are $400 each.
Prerequisite: Ability to write programs in a procedural or object-oriented programming language. All students registering for this certificate must meet with the Program manager.
Schedule
Classes will meet on
Mondays and Wednesdays from 6:00 to 9:00 pm. The program begins
on October 19, 1998.
Tuition
Tuition is $3,800 and
includes use of the Continuing Studies microcomputing labs.
Placement counseling is available.
