Microcomputing / Windows 95
This program gives students hands-on skills in text processing, spreadsheet, database, graphics, and communications as preparation for entrance into the exciting field of micro-computing to carry out PC user support, help desk administration, user training, testing and evaluation of new products, or to function as independent consultants.
Program Content
Baruch faculty and consultants from the micro-computer industry have designed a curriculum that emphasizes business applications of microcomputers. The program requires 258 hours of classroom and lab instruction. The curriculum consists of the following courses:
These courses, which are not the same as the courses listed under the Computer section, may be taken individually for $520.
Schedule
The day session meets
Mondays through Thursdays, from 1:30 - 4:30 PM, making it
possible to complete the certificate and be ready for employment
in approximately six months. The Saturday program meets Saturdays
from 9:00 - 4:00 pm and may be completed in one year. The next
day program begins on October 19, 1998.
The next Saturday program will begin in October 24, 1998.
Tuition
Tuition is $3,100 and
includes use of the Continuing Studies microcomputing labs.
Placement counseling is available.
